Penn State Behrend faculty members will read from their original work at the annual Behrend Reads program, which is part of the Smith Creative Writers Reading Series at the college. The March 16 program, which begins at 6 p.m. in the lobby of Metzgar Center, is free and open to the public.

Behrend Reads is a celebration of faculty-produced poetry, fiction and non-fiction. This year’s program will feature readings by the following faculty members:

  • Kevin Belknap, lecturer of English
  • Martin Carrión, lecturer of political science and Spanish
  • Elizabeth Fogle, associate teaching professor of English
  • George Looney, distinguished professor of creative writing and English
  • Kristy McCoy, assistant teaching professor of English
  • Tom Noyes, professor of creative writing and English
  • Aimee Pogson, associate teaching professor of creative writing and English
  • Evan Ringle, assistant teaching professor of English

The Smith Creative Writers Reading Series is produced by Penn State Behrend’s creative writing program, which leads to a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. The program is the only one of its kind at Penn State.
