The Community Blood Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York will hold blood drives at Penn State Behrend’s Erie Hall on Sept. 9 and 10. Walk-in donations will be accepted between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The drives are part of the Abbott and the Big Ten “We Give Blood” campaign. All donors will be eligible to receive a limited-edition Penn State T-shirt, while supplies last. The Big Ten university with the most donations will receive a $1 million grant.
All donors at the Behrend blood drives also will receive a gift card for John’s Wildwood Pizza.
Blood donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with parental consent. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and not have received a tattoo or piercing in the last three months. A photo ID is required.
The Community Blood Bank supplies blood and blood products to 17 hospitals and 7 State MedEvac bases in Pennsylvania and New York. Learn more at fourhearts.org.
