Climate and Justice Teach-In
5:30 PM - 8:30 PM / March 27, 2024
The 2024 Worldwide Teach-In on Climate and Justice will again include programming at Penn State Behrend, where students, faculty members and community experts will discuss a variety of climate-related issues. The program, which begins at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in the Reed Union Building, is free and open to the public.
The Worldwide Teach-In began at Bard College in New York. In 2022 and 2023, the program reached 70,000 students in 70 countries.
The teach-in is designed to foster conversations that will continue in dining halls, dormitories and other informal settings. This year’s program includes panel discussions about climate change, wildlife, water access, fast fashion and Project Drawdown, a science-based strategy for accelerating climate solutions.
In each session, panelists will speak for five minutes, leaving time for discussion with audience members.
