Herb Lauffer Memorial Soccer Tournament

Penn State Behrend’s soccer teams will open their seasons with the three-day Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament, which begins Friday, Aug. 29. The men’s bracket will feature Behrend, Allegheny, Baldwin Wallace and Carnegie Mellon. The women’s bracket will feature Behrend, Messiah, Otterbein and John Carroll.

Both Behrend teams ranked first in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference preseason coaches’ poll. Each team’s starting goalkeeper – Anthony Scalise, a sophomore from North Huntington, and Riley Morningstar, a senior from North Huntingdon – was named preseason defensive player of the year.
