March 2: Ukraine teach-in

Lena Surzhko Harned, assistant teaching professor of political science at Penn State Behrend, will lead a public teach-in about the conflict in Ukraine beginning at noon Wednesday, March 2. This program, which is open to the public, will be hosted on Zoom, at https://psu.zoom.us/J/95987839789.

Harned will be joined by Nataliia Kasianenko, assistant professor of political science at the University of California at Fresno. They will discuss the conflict in Ukraine, the politics that led up to the invasion and the potential impact across Europe.

Harned is an expert in the politics of Ukraine and the post-Soviet space. She has been featured in The Atlantic, The Philadelphia Inquirer, U.S. News and World Report and on NPR. In addition to her teaching, she serves as a senior policy analyst at the Public Policy Fund, which is based in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Penn State Behrend.
