Penn State Behrend will award more than 600 undergraduate and graduate degrees at the college’s spring commencement ceremony. The May 9 program, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at Erie Insurance Arena, will be streamed live on the college’s website.
Tim NeCastro, the CEO of Erie Insurance, will give the commencement address. Ken Louie, associate professor of economics and director of the Economic Research Institute of Erie, will give the faculty address.
The graduates will enter the arena led by student marshals — the students with the highest grade-point average in each of Behrend’s academic schools. This year’s marshals are Alec Dennis, for the School of Humanities and Social Sciences; Matthew McDonough, for the School of Science; Ali Ostowar, for the Black School of Business; Marley Persch, for the School of Engineering; Alice Puzarowski, for the Graduate Programs; and Keri Saulino, for the Schreyer Honors College.
