7:00 PM - 8:00 PM / April 05, 2023

The Public Policy Initiative at Penn State Behrend will host a discussion with Volodymyr Dubovyk, an associate professor at Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University in Ukraine, on April 5 at the Federal House. The in-person program, which begins at 7 p.m., is free and open to the public.

Dubovyk is an associate professor in the Department of International Relations at Mechnikov and has directed the Center for International Studies at the university since 1999. His teaching and research interests include U.S. foreign policy, U.S. and Ukraine relations, and security in the Black Sea region. He was a Fulbright Scholar in 2016 and 2017.

Dubovyk’s program at Behrend will focus on the need for U.S. support in the war in Ukraine.

The Public Policy Initiative at Behrend was created to bring together a diversity of perspectives to inform public policy decisions that affect the Erie region and similar communities in the Great Lakes and Ohio River Basin areas. The initiative is based in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and draws on the expertise of faculty members in the political science program.
