Reopening of Yahn Planetarium at Penn State Behrend

7:00 PM - 8:30 PM / September 14, 2022

The Yahn Planetarium at Penn State Behrend will celebrate its reopening with a special presentation of “Forward! To the Moon,” a film about NASA’s Artemis mission, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14. A sky talk will follow the program, which will include refreshments and science activities in Roche Hall.

“Forward! To the Moon” is a short film that details NASA’s Artemis program, a commercial partnership that aims to establish the first long-term presence on the moon. The mission will carry the first woman and the first person of color to the moon.

Kari Byron from “MythBusters” and “Crash Test World” narrates the film.

The launch of the Artemis I mega moon rocket has been scheduled for Sept. 27.
