Rhythms of Life Series at Penn State Behrend

African Soul International will perform traditional West African dances and drum music as part of the Rhythms of Life Series at Penn State Behrend on Feb. 15. The group, founded in 1998 by Sista Jewel, has performed with Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland and has received the Congressional Award for Community Service.

The group will perform at noon in Bruno’s Café, in the Reed Union Building at Penn State Behrend. The program is free and open to the public.

The Rhythms of Life Series is sponsored by Penn State Behrend’s Office of Educational Equity and Diversity Programs and the Student Activity Fee. It features a variety of music, dance and storytelling from all regions of the world. Details are at the Rhythms of Life Series webpage.
