Smith Creative Writers Reading Series

ERIE, Pa. — The Smith Creative Writers Reading Series at Penn State Behrend continues at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, with a reading by the poet Henrietta Goodman in the Metzgar Center. Her newest book, “Antillia,” was published by the University of Nebraska Press.

Goodman has written four collections of poetry, including the sonnet sequence “All That Held Us,” which won the 2018 John Ciardi Award. Her work has appeared in The New England Review, New Ohio Review, Terrain and The American Journal of Poetry, among other publications.

The Smith Creative Writers Reading Series is produced by Penn State Behrend’s creative writing program, which leads to a bachelor’s of fine arts degree. The program is the only one of its kind at Penn State.
