Smith Creative Writers Reading Series

The Smith Creative Writers Reading Series at Penn State Behrend begins Thursday, Sept. 18, with a reading by Karin Lin-Greenberg, the author of the 2023 novel “You Are Here.”

The reading, which begins at 6 p.m. in the lobby of Metzgar Center, is free and open to the public. A reception with Lin-Greenberg will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Lin-Greenberg is the author of the story collections “Faulty Predictions,” which won the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction, and “Vanished,” which won the Prairie Schooner Raz-Shumaker Book Prize. She also has been awarded a Pushcart Prize.

Her novel, “You Are Here,” was an Indie Next selection from the American Booksellers Association and a People magazine Book of the Week.

Lin-Greenberg also teaches in the English department at Siena College and in the MFA program at Carlow University.

The Smith Creative Writers Reading Series is produced by Penn State Behrend’s creative writing program, which leads to a bachelor’s of fine arts degree. The program is the only one of its kind at Penn State.
