Smith Creative Writers Reading Series

Poet Nancy Eimers will read from her work on April 4 when the Smith Creative Writers Reading Series continues at Penn State Behrend. The reading, which will begin at 6 p.m. in Metzgar Center, is free and open to the public.

Eimers is the author of “Human Figures,” “Oz,” and three other collections. Her work has appeared in Paris Review, Field, The Nation and Antioch Review. Her writing also has been featured in Lake Effect, Penn State Behrend’s international literary journal.

Eimers has received a Nation “Discovery” Award, a Whiting Writers Award and two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships. She teaches at Western Michigan University.

The Smith Creative Writers Reading Series is produced by Penn State Behrend’s creative writing program, which leads to a bachelor’s of fine arts degree. The program is the only one of its kind at Penn State.
