Penn State Behrend’s annual STEAM Fair will feature more than 70 hands-on activity stations, with interactive exhibits sponsored by WQLN, Wabtec and other community partners.

The Feb. 26 program, which will be held in Junker Center, is free and open to the public. Activities will be offered from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Approximately 1,500 people attended the 2023 STEAM Fair, which featured a wind tunnel, a portable planetarium, a scuba diving simulation and a DNA station with molecules made from gumdrops, licorice and toothpicks.

“We try to make it fun, entertaining and engaging,” said Melanie Ford, director of Youth Education Outreach at Behrend. “When families are here and having fun, the educational component slips right in behind that.”
