STEAM Fair at Penn State Behrend

5:30 PM - 8:30 PM / February 17, 2025

Penn State Behrend’s annual STEAM Fair will feature nearly 100 hands-on activity stations, with interactive exhibits sponsored by WQLN, Wabtec and Niagara Bottling, among other community partners.

The Feb. 17 program, which will be held in Junker Center, is free and open to the public. Activities will be offered from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This is the 10th year for the fair, which is organized by the Youth Education Outreach team at Penn State Behrend. Approximately 1,500 people attend the annual event, which is the largest single-day youth program Behrend offers.

This year’s activity stations will include chocolate-molding, virtual reality demos, reptile exhibits, robotics and Behrend’s portable planetarium.

“We try to make it fun, entertaining and engaging,” said Melanie Ford, director of Youth Education Outreach at Behrend. “When families are here and having fun, the educational component slips right in behind that.”
