The Public Policy Initiative at Penn State Behrend will host a discussion about economic inequality in America on Friday, March 28, in Metzgar Center. The program, which begins at 3 p.m., is open to the public at no charge.
The program will feature Ken Louie, associate professor of economics and director of the Economic Research Institute of Erie. He will discuss how economic inequality in the United States has evolved over time. He also will present data to map the long-term trends that likely await in the future economy.
The Public Policy Initiative was created to bring together a diversity of perspectives that inform policy decisions that affect the Erie region and similar communities in the Great Lakes and Ohio River Basin areas.
