The Penn State Behrend men’s tennis team won its fourth consecutive Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship with a 4-1 victory over Penn State Altoona on April 27. The match was played at Westwood Racquet Club.
Jonathon Laier, a senior from Lansing, Michigan, and Graham Louis, a freshman from Erie, were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Lions returned to the championship match after defeating Mount Aloysius, 4-0, in the semifinals.
Behrend’s baseball, softball and track and field teams also were in action last week. Here are the scores and highlights:

The loss to Pitt-Greensburg snapped a 16-game winning streak – the longest in the history of Behrend baseball. In the next game, the Lions put up 20 runs, including a three-run home run by Tyler Burick, a freshman from Erie.

Jocelyn McNany, a senior from Cranberry Township, hit a double in each game.
Men’s track and field
Dan Dabrowski, a senior from Harborcreek Township, placed fourth in the elite bracket for discus at the Ashland Alumni Open. He completed a 51.52-meter throw. Carter Tobin, a freshman from Irwin, placed fourth in the 200-meter race, finishing in 21.87.
Women’s track and field
Braylee Lukehart, a freshman from Reynoldsville, placed eighth in the javelin at the Ashland Alumni Open. She completed a 31.97-meter throw. Behrend’s 4x100 relay team – Ivy Laffan, Jaade Duncan, Ella McGowan and Chloe Yazembiak – placed seventh, finishing in a season-best 51.47.
