ERIE, Pa. — The Penn State Behrend men’s volleyball team will enter the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship tournament as the No. 1 seed. The team, which is 20-6 overall, posted a 14-1 record in conference play.
Behrend’s baseball, softball, track and field, golf and water polo teams also were in action last week. Here are the scores and highlights:
Baseball

The Lions snapped a five-game losing streak by stacking 30 hits against Franciscan. Isaac Stouffer, a junior from Punxsutawney, batted five-for-five, with six RBIs, a home run and a bases-clearing double.
Softball

Penn State Behrend 4, Mt. Union 2
Maddie Smith, a junior from DuBois, batted three-for-three against Pitt-Greensburg, hitting a double and a triple and scoring three runs. Ashleigh Schmidt, a senior from Sarver, pitched a one-hit shutout.
Men’s track and field
Samuel Hetrick, a sophomore from New Bethlehem, won the high jump at the Dave Labor Invitational in Slippery Rock. He cleared a height of 2.08 meters. Braeden Smith, a senior from Erie, cleared a height of 2.00 meters, placing third. Ryan Festa, a sophomore from Horsham, placed third in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.36 meters.
Women’s track and field
Caroline Upham, a senior from Erie, placed third in the high jump at the Dave Labor Invitational in Slippery Rock. She cleared a height of 1.50 meters. Olivia Nola, a freshman from Erie, placed 10th in the 5,000-meter race, finishing in 19:23.16.

JP Goodsel, a graduate student from Corry, posted a career-high 26 kills against Penn State Altoona. He also had 13 digs. Diego Ortiz, a junior from San Juan, Puerto Rico, had 35 assists.
Men’s golf
Fifth (of six teams) at the Penn State Division III Challenge in State College
Alex Pol, a senior from Erie, led the team with a two-day score of 158. He tied for sixth in a field of 37 golfers.
Women’s water polo
Mercyhurst 13, Penn State Behrend 10
Salem 18, Penn State Behrend 7
Marley Persch, a freshman from Hudsonville, Michigan, and Shannon Young, a junior from Roseville, California, each scored three goals against Mercyhurst.
