The School of Science at Penn State Erie reaches out into the community with its annual Open House Nights in Astronomy Series. This year the series begins on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 7:30 p.m. with a presentation titled "The Origin of the Moon" by Darren Williams, assistant professor of physics and astronomy at Penn State Erie. Following his lecture, weather permitting, guests may use the Mehalso Observatory for astronomical viewing. The lecture, which takes place in Room 101 of the Otto Behrend Science Building, is free and open to the public.
