Guy L. Reschenthaler to receive 2018 Alumni Achievement Award

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College political science alumnus Senator Guy L. Reschenthaler, 2004, will be one of 10 recipients of the Penn State Alumni Association’s 2018 Alumni Achievement Award. The Alumni Achievement Award recognizes accomplished Penn State alumni 35 years of age or younger.

He will be honored at a late March ceremony to be held in the Hintz Family Alumni Center at University Park campus.

Reschenthaler represents the 37th District in the Pennsylvania Senate, serving portions of Allegheny County and Peters Township in Washington County. He was elected to the state Senate in November 2015, winning a special election, and was re-elected in November 2016 to serve a full four-year term. He serves on the Penn State Behrend Council of Fellows and the college’s Humanities and Social Sciences and Political Science advisory boards. After earning his bachelor of arts at Penn State Behrend in three years, Reschenthaler completed law school at Duquesne University.
