The Plastics Training Academy at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has announced its workforce development schedule for 2009 and is currently accepting registrations.
Created in 2007, the Plastics Training Academy will offer 11 workshops and seminars throughout the year in Penn State Behrend’s 10,500-square-foot plastics processing laboratory — the largest academic plastics lab in the country. The college’s plastics engineering technology program is one of four programs nationwide accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).
The Plastics Training Academy continues to offer company-specific contract workshops and seminars on site; Penn State Behrend instructors have traveled to Texas, Georgia, Alabama and New Jersey to present in-house training.
