UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — With Penn State students dispersed across the state, country and world during a period of remote course delivery as the University works to help bolster the global efforts underway to slow the spread of the global coronavirus pandemic, the dean of one college plans to meet with students virtually.
Dean Marie Hardin of the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications has scheduled two “Drop-Ins with the Dean” on Zoom — at 3:30 p.m. April 2 and at 5:30 p.m. April 8 — to answer students’ questions and take feedback.
“It’s an unprecedented time for all of us, and I want to be available and supportive of our students,” Hardin said. “They’re all facing challenges and situations they did not anticipate. I want them to know I’m here for them — and that all of our faculty, staff, alumni and friends are here for them as well. That starts with making time to listen to and talk with them.”
