UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Fourteen different Penn State student productions or individuals earned nominations in seven different categories for the 2026 College Student Production Awards, presented as part of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).
“Centre County Report,” produced by students in the capstone broadcast journalism course in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications, was the source for most of the nominated work.
The weekly program streams live on YouTube and airs across Pennsylvania on WPSU-TV (PBS) to 29 counties and 500,000 television homes. It also streams throughout Pennsylvania as part of partnerships with KDKA-TV (Pittsburgh), KYW-TV (Philadelphia) and WNEP-TV (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre). Newscasts stream in the Baltimore in partnership with WJZ-TV as well.
Award winners will be announced during the 44th Annual NATAS Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Awards Ceremony on Sept. 26, in Philadelphia.
