Peña speaks on 40th anniversary of withdrawal from Vietnam

In observance of Veterans Day, Félix Alfonso “Poncho” Peña, a Vietnam veteran and writer, will speak about the 40th anniversary of the withdrawal of U.S. personnel from Vietnam at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium, Penn State Berks. This event is free and open to the public.

Peña is a former copy editor and writer for The Reading Eagle and a Vietnam veteran (Jan. 1970 to April 1971, 173rd Airborne Brigade and N/75th Airborne Ranger). He has been a guest speaker for the campus' Literature and Culture course in the past and his engaging and insightful talks have been popular with audiences.
