Penn State Berks will host third-grade girls from Lauer's Park Elementary School for the second annual ‘STEM for All Ages’ program on from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 10. Nearly 40 students will visit the campus and participate in a variety of STEM-related programs organized by faculty and staff in Science and Engineering. The goal is to make STEM accessible to all ages.
The day will begin with a campus tour led by student Lion Ambassadors. Then the students will be split up into three groups and these groups will participate in rotating half-hour sessions, beginning at 9:50 a.m. The sessions include Engineering Tours in the Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building, Fun with Dilutions in the Luerssen Building, and STEM + FUN = Chemistry, also in Luerssen.
