Penn State Berks ranks No. 22 in Niche's Best Colleges in Pennsylvania

READING, Pa. — The Niche 2016 Best Colleges ranking is a comprehensive assessment of more than 1,100 U.S. colleges based on millions of statistics and student reviews. Its 2016 ranking places Penn State Berks No. 22 among all colleges and universities in Pennsylvania.

Unlike other college rankings, Niche rankings go beyond basic statistics and strive to capture the student and alumni realities at each college. To reflect the realities of the college experience, their Best Colleges ranking incorporates millions of student reviews and key statistics about the academics, students, campus, local area, professors, dorms, food and athletics. To reflect the realities of the “real world” after college, they incorporate alumni data on earnings, employment, student loan debt and student surveys on how prepared they feel for life after college. Compared to the 2015 Best Colleges ranking, this year’s ranking places greater emphasis on value, with their Best Value Colleges score getting 25 percent of the factor weight.

Penn State Berks ranked highest among all Penn State Commonwealth campuses. Penn State University Park placed 49th nationally and came in at No. 5 overall among all colleges and universities in Pennsylvania.
