MEDIA, Pa. — Penn State Brandywine celebrated its annual Homecoming & Family Day on Oct. 25. With more than 500 guests in attendance, and in collaboration with Penn State Day, Homecoming & Family Day was packed with alumni, prospective and current students, families and friends participating in various activities.
The day started with attendees touring the campus and visiting the campus resource fair. Alumni were invited to attend a brunch with the Brandywine Alumni Society, which encouraged networking and forming connections. After a fall-themed lunch, the day continued with a volleyball game against Penn State Abington, a tennis match versus Neumann University, various carnival games, caricature artists, a photo booth, pumpkin painting and more. Attendees also had the opportunity to donate to Brandywine Benefitting THON through a luxury bag bingo to close out the day.
“Whether you are visiting our campus as a prospective student to explore Penn State Brandywine, or you are here as alumni, current students, family members, faculty, staff, friends and partners, what we share is our belief in the value of higher education and what home and family means to us,” said Regional Chancellor Marilyn J. Wells during her welcoming remarks.
Patton Vo, director of campus development, noted how Homecoming & Family Day brought generations of Penn Staters together for the joyous occasion.
“Homecoming and Family Weekend reminded us of what makes the Penn State Brandywine community so special — the spirit, connection and pride that unite generations of Nittany Lions,” he said.
“Seeing alumni, students, families and friends come together to celebrate our shared story was truly inspiring. This weekend wasn’t just about looking back — it was about building momentum for everything still ahead. We can’t wait to welcome even more of our Brandywine family home next year.”
