UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State community will have an opportunity to experience Arab culture and heritage firsthand at Arab Tent 2018, an event organized by the Saudi Arabian Student Association to highlight the culture, artistic expression, language, natural resources, religion and tourism found in Arab countries.
Arab Tent 2018 will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 12, on the HUB-Robeson Center lawn at University Park.
Two tents will be present at this year’s event. The first tent will feature interactive booths showcasing 11 Arab countries, while the second tent will highlight Arab music, art, language, science, religion, tourism and more. Other activities will include henna demonstrations, Arabic name writing, oud playing, and a photo booth. The event will conclude with stage performances, dances, and a cultural fashion show.
The event is free and open to the entire Penn State community.
