UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Revel in Penn State spirit during the sixth annual PS i(heart)U Week, set for April 8-12 at University Park.
Hosted by the Blue & White Society, the mission of PS i(heart)U Week is to encourage University pride, celebrate Penn State traditions, and show appreciation to Blue & White Society’s members.
“PS i(heart)U Week is our favorite week of the year. We get to host a variety of events that bring all Penn Staters together,” said Allie Head, director of events for the Blue & White Society. “There’s free food, entertainment, and giveaways every day, so we hope to see you there.”
There will be pop-up tents in different locations around the University Park campus each morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m., in addition to special events during the day and/or evening.
Highlights of the week include a HUB lawn tailgate, lantern tours of campus with the Penn State Lion Ambassadors, an arcade night, and a Blue & White Society takeover of the Penn State Bookstore. The latter will feature exclusive discounts for Blue & White Society members, including free “alumni signature coffee drinks” for the first 100 members to arrive. The new Blue & White Society spirit scarf, which was selected by a student vote held at the end of March, will be unveiled on Tuesday (April 9) of PS i(heart)U Week.
Follow the Blue & White Society on Facebook and Twitter for event updates pending weather.
Sponsors of this weeklong celebration include the Penn State Alumni Association, University Park Allocation Committee, and AT&T. All of the events during the week are free and open to the public.
The Blue & White Society is the student membership of the Penn State Alumni Association, with societies at campuses across the Commonwealth. With more than 8,000 members, it is the largest and one of the most active student organizations at Penn State. The Blue & White Society plans many events on campus each year while also participating in events such as THON, Homecoming, and various community service programs.
