UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Join Penn State for a night at the movies during the University’s 2023 Military Appreciation Week.

The Penn State Military Appreciation Committee together with the State Theatre encourage the community to channel their inner Maverick and come out to watch “Top Gun – Maverick” on Nov. 3.

Tickets are available online and at the State Theater Box Office in downtown State College. Everyone is encouraged to dress as their favorite Top Gun character. The movie starts at 8 p.m. but those over 21 years old can attend a pre-show cocktail hour starting at 7 p.m. where they can purchase one of the “Top Gun” themed beverages.

Proceeds from this event will support the Penn State Military Student Fund, which provides recognition and financial assistance through scholarships. Students who are active-duty military service members, veterans and their dependents who are enrolled or plan to enroll at any Penn State campus are eligible to apply.
