Phase two of the basketball branding upgrades to the Bryce Jordan Center concourse is complete. This phase included new portal signage highlighting the history of the Penn State men’s and women’s basketball programs.
"This second phase of the branding project in the Bryce Jordan Center enhances the look and feel of the concourse level with portal signage highlighting the many achievements of our men's and women's basketball programs and the continued success of the players after college," said Nate Patrick, project manager with the Office of Physical Plant.
The new signage — fabric banners that are easy to change — is bright and colorful with larger-than-life action photos. They are designed to add a sense of school spirit from your first step into the facility.
“The BJC is about to celebrate its 20- year anniversary and we have a lot to celebrate,” said Al Karosas, general manager of the Bryce Jordan Center. “The concourse renovation phases are a means to share some of the great events we have hosted since our opening. The new portal signage showcases some of the great Nittany and Lady Lion players and teams in Penn State history. The Wall of Fame showcases some of our other live entertainment events and shares a brief story about the artist with their autographed tile. We hope both will help increase the experience our fans get when they walk through our facility.”
Phase one of the project was completed last fall. Previous upgrades included adding letters spelling “STATE” in the ticket office, the Wall of Fame, the Penn State Basketball wall on the north concourse, and signage inside each gate highlighting other events hosted by the Bryce Jordan Center such as THON and commencement.
