UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Housing Fair, hosted by the Office of Off Campus Student Support, a unit of Penn State Student Affairs, will be held virtually 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7. All University Park students and their families are welcome to attend the free event which provides information about on- and off-campus housing options for students. Event registration is now open.
During the housing fair, students and their families will be able to ask both on- and off-campus housing representatives about living options in an effort to determine which best fits their needs. Students will also be able to explore the pros and cons of on-campus versus off-campus housing.
After the fair, housing vendors will be available to provide information on-site at the HUB-Robeson Center back patio on a rotating schedule. Vendors will be present weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Oct. 8 through Oct. 20. No pre-registration is needed for outdoor tabling events and students are encouraged to stop by to learn more about various proprieties in the State College area.
“While the housing fair and on campus tabling are both great opportunities to explore living options, there is no rush to make a decision about housing for next year,” said Kelly Mroz, interim director of the office of off-campus student support. “We encourage students to take their time and be sure to explore all of their options before signing.”
In addition to the informational resources available through the Housing Fair, students currently enrolled at University Park are also eligible to receive a free lease terms review with an attorney through Penn State’s Student Legal Services. Appointments are available through the office’s website.
