HAZLETON, Pa. — Penn State Hazleton is encouraging students to protect themselves against the flu by taking advantage of a free flu vaccine clinic at the campus Health Center, 704 West Hall, on Monday, Oct. 11.

Appointments are available between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and must be scheduled in advance. Students should use access code “PSU2021” when registering.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the best way to reduce the risk of flu and its potentially serious complications is by getting vaccinated each year. The CDC notes that for those at higher risk, getting a flu vaccine is especially important.

All students who receive a flu shot at the clinic will be entered into a drawing for a $20 Walmart gift card.
