UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The IRS' free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will again be offered at Penn State from Feb. 3 to April 11.
Anyone earning $53,000 or less in gross income for 2014 is eligible to have federal and state income tax forms prepared by trained student volunteers. Appointments will be offered from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays in 10 Ferguson Building. (No appointments will be offered during spring break, March 7 to 14.

The following items are needed at the appointment:
-- Social security card(s);
-- Identification card or driver’s license;
-- 2014 tax documents;
-- 2013 tax return;
-- A blank check for direct-deposit refunds;
-- A spouse, if filing jointly; and
-- Form 1095-A for those with insurance through http://Healthcare.gov.
