UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Katie Gasior, a senior majoring in psychology, was named the 2016 Homecoming executive director on Oct. 26.

Gasior served as an events captain for Homecoming's 2015 Color Run.

To become executive director, applicants must interview with Homecoming's staff advisers as well as the immediate past executive director.

"Katie is an incredibly impressive, intelligent and passionate person who was proactive and dedicated throughout her Homecoming involvement," said Brandon Rittenhouse, 2015 executive director. "She brings a unique perspective to the role and I can't wait to see her vision for Homecoming 2016 unfold."

Selections for the 2016 executive committee will take place in mid-November.
