UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A new year has started in Happy Valley. Celebrate it with the Blue & White Society, the largest active student organization on campus, with its annual kickoff event, Blue & White BASH.

BASH will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the Hintz Family Alumni Center on Penn State’s University Park campus.

All University Park students, new and returning, are invited to attend the beach boardwalk-themed event for free food — including funnel cakes — and entertainment before the stresses of fall semester arrive. Students will also have the chance to chat with students and staff from other campus organizations and departments such as University Health Services, the LGBTQ Student Resource Center, the Penn State Lion Ambassadors, Homecoming, and more.

Blue & White Society members can pick up their limited-edition T-shirt at the event and learn how to get involved with the organization’s many events throughout the year. Students wishing to join the Blue & White Society can do so at BASH.

The Blue & White Society is the student membership of the Penn State Alumni Association, with chapters at campuses across the Commonwealth. With more than 9,000 members, it is the largest and one of the most active student organizations at Penn State. The Blue & White Society plans many events on campus each year, while also participating in events such as THON, Homecoming, Relay For Life and various community service programs.
