UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As the academic year wraps up, the Penn State Lion Ambassadors will help students cross one more item off their Penn State bucket lists: climbing the Old Main bell tower.

Old Main Open House, complete with these highly popular bell-tower tours, will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13. This year’s theme is “Saved by the Bell Tower,” featuring '90s-themed singing and best-dressed contests.

“We are very excited about our first '90s-themed Old Main Open House,” said Bridget O’Malley, Lion Ambassadors committee director. “Students will have the opportunity to play throwback '90s games, and also receive a tour of the bell tower featuring historic Penn State characters. We are hoping to see everyone decked out in their best '90s gear!”

Other activities on Old Main lawn will include a mechanical bull, photo booth, and inflatable slides. Participants can also enjoy free food and entertainment from student music and dance groups.

The event is free and open to the public and is being held in conjunction with the Blue & White Society’s PS i(heart)U Week.

The Penn State Lion Ambassadors are the student alumni corps of the Penn State Alumni Association who aim to communicate the University’s history, personality and traditions to students, alumni and friends through tours and programming. Founded in 1982, the Lion Ambassadors serve as an important facet of student outreach for the Alumni Association.
