UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As the semester wraps up, Penn State Lion Ambassadors will help students — as well as faculty, staff, alumni and visitors — cross an item off their Penn State bucket lists: climbing the Old Main bell tower.

The annual Old Main Open House, complete with tours of the bell tower, will take place on Wednesday, April 18, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

“We are very excited about our annual Old Main Open House,” said Jack Titus, Lion Ambassadors committee director. “Students will have the opportunity to play games and receive a tour of the bell tower, featuring historic Penn State characters. We are hoping to see everyone come out and explore the titan of our campus, Old Main."

Other activities on the Old Main lawn will include a mechanical bull, caricature booth and inflatable obstacle course. Participants can also enjoy free food from all over Pennsylvania.

The Penn State Lion Ambassadors, the student alumni corps of the Penn State Alumni Association, aim to communicate the University’s history, personality and traditions to students, alumni and friends through tours and programming. Founded in 1982, the Lion Ambassadors serve as an important facet of student outreach for the Alumni Association.
