UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Join Penn State's College of Earth and Mineral Sciences in a Coffee Hour led by Madhumita Dutta, where she will discuss her lecture: “Telling life stories: Reflections on researching everyday lived experience of work-life of women workers in Tamil Nadu, India,” on Nov. 4 in 112 Walker Building at 4 p.m.
Dutta completed her Ph.D. in geography in 2016 from the University of Durham and is currently a post-doctoral scholar at the Center for Global Worker’ Rights in the School of Labor and Employment Relations at Penn State's College of the Liberal Arts. She will discuss her research and tell the story of young women who labor as factory workers in a small industrial town in India.
The Coffee Hour will begin at 3:30 p.m. in 319 Walker Building, where refreshments will be served; it will continue at 4 p.m. in 112 Walker Building, where the lecture will be held.
