UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Center for Women Students at Penn State is seeking new members for one of its peer education groups — Men Against Violence (MAV). MAV is a group of Penn State men who oppose interpersonal violence in all of its manifestations and promote healthy masculinity.

Members receive training on topics like gender stereotypes, sexual assault and relationship violence. They then help facilitate educational programs for their peers and plan awareness events throughout the year. MAV — open to any men in the Penn State community — is a leadership opportunity and a way to make a difference on campus.

This semester Men Against Violence will meet at 3 p.m. on Fridays in 110 HUB-Robeson Center on the University Park campus. The first meeting of the semester will be Jan. 20. The meeting will be spent welcoming new and/or interested members to the group and going over plans for the semester. For more information, email pennstatemav@psu.edu or go to MAV's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PSUMAV
