"We are really excited to have Kelly join us at UHS," Whipple said." Kelly is a graduate of Penn State, is a former student nutrition assistant and has over 5 years of nutrition counseling experience. She is a terrific addition to our expanding nutrition clinic."
Nutrition counseling at UHS is available to all currently enrolled Penn State students. Clinic staff can help students develop a diet plan to meet individual health needs, set realistic nutrition goals and strategize ways to meet those goals. There is $25 charge for the initial one-hour consultation. Follow-up appointments are arranged as needed and cost $15.
The food we choose to eat every day affects our body and the way it functions. The UHS Nutrition Clinic helps students to understand the importance of nutrition in their daily lives, to maintain a balanced diet and to improve their overall health.
Appointments can be scheduled at http://www.sa.psu.edu/uhs/basics/online_access.cfm online, or by calling the UHS appointment line at (814) 863-0774.
