UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Office of Physical Plant will conduct a spraying operation for bagworms from 2 to 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, at University Park. Spraying will include evergreens in the area of Innovation Park, the Pegula Ice Arena, the south side of the Bryce Jordan Center, the Pennsylvania State University sign at the corner of Porter Road and Park Avenue, the Centre County Visitor Center, and the Meats Lab.
The Office of Physical Plant is taking this opportunity with low populations on campus to address an increasing problem of bagworms that have been seen over the past couple of seasons.
The Office of Physical Plant thanks the campus community for understanding the need and cooperating with this important program aimed at preserving the campus’ trees.
