Open forum event planned by Paul Robeson Cultural Center

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Paul Robeson Cultural Center is sponsoring an open forum on marginalization and racism. Under the hashtag #callingallwhitepeople, the forum seeks to encourage individuals to become “interrupters” in places where people are marginalized. Other topics include a history of oppression and the role that individuals play.

The event will be a combination of discussion and video presentations. Additionally, Amy Cohen from Showing Up for Racial Justice will be speaking. Showing Up for Racial Justice is an activist organization that encourages people to stand against racism.

The program will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, in the Freeman Auditorium of the HUB-Robeson Center.
