UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Changes in campus retail dining are on the horizon for the fall 2019 semester, as Panera Bread will replace Au Bon Pain at four University Park locations.

Panera Bread acquired Au Bon Pain in November 2017.

The four current Au Bon Pain locations on campus — Kern Building, West Gate, Zoller Gallery, and Katz Building — will close on Tuesday, June 18, for full remodels, with anticipated reopenings for the fall semester featuring Panera's updated look.

“We’re excited about welcoming Panera to campus,” said David Gingher, director of Campus Retail Dining. “Everyone knows Panera and their variety of healthy options. I think it will be a great brand to have at Penn State.”

Online ordering and rapid pickup will be available at the Kern Building location.
