UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — To accommodate the many vehicles arriving on campus during the fall semester student arrival period, the following parking adjustments will be in place beginning Monday, Aug. 15, through Sunday, Aug. 21, at University Park.
Please note that restrictions at the East Deck and Yellow D surface lot will take effect beginning Thursday, Aug. 11.
University department vehicles also must be removed from the restricted areas listed below during the student arrival period.
Student parking lot closures
All core student resident parking lots — Lot 22 (Eastview Terrace), Lot 42 (Nittany Apartments), Lot 81 (South/Pollock Halls), and Lot 82 (East Halls) — will be reserved for 30-minute unloading beginning Sunday night, Aug. 14. All vehicles must be removed from these lots by midnight Sunday.
Student permit holders for these areas must move their vehicles to Jordan East or Stadium West during the move-in period, and overnight parking will be permitted until midnight Sunday, Aug. 21. Students who purchase permits for these areas may move back to their assigned area beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, and must be parked in their assigned lot by midnight that night.
Faculty/staff parking lot closures
The following faculty/staff parking areas will be reserved for student arrival unloading only from Monday, Aug. 15, through Sunday, Aug. 21:
- BROWN E: Permit holders must park at Nittany Deck, Eisenhower Deck, Jordan East or Stadium West.
- GREEN C: Permit holders must park at Nittany Deck, Eisenhower Deck, Jordan East or Stadium West.
- GREEN N: Permit holders must park at Nittany Deck, Eisenhower Deck, Jordan East or Stadium West.
- ORANGE B (SOFTBALL): Permit holders must park at other Orange lots (except Orange A Katz), Jordan East or Stadium West.
- YELLOW H (IM BUILDING): Permit holders must park at other Yellow H lots, Jordan East or Stadium West.
- YELLOW J: Permit holders must park at Eisenhower Deck, Jordan East or Stadium West.
- YELLOW T: Permit holders must park at Eisenhower Deck, Jordan East or Stadium West.
Note: To accommodate student arrival traffic, Burrowes Road will allow southbound traffic only between Curtin Road and Pollock Road beginning Wednesday, Aug. 17, through Saturday, Aug. 20, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
In addition to the above-mentioned lot closures, note the following impacts at the East Deck/Yellow D Tener and HUB Deck during student arrival:

YELLOW D (EAST DECK AND TENER LOT) — *BEGINNING THURSDAY, AUG. 11*:
- Level 1 of the East Deck will be reserved for student arrival unloading only from Thursday, Aug. 11, through Sunday, Aug. 21.
- The Yellow D surface lot at Tener Hall will be closed from Thursday, Aug. 11, through Sunday, Aug. 21.
- With heavy traffic expected near East Deck, there may be times when the section of Bigler Road located between Curtin Road and Park Avenue is restricted.
- Yellow D permit holders are encouraged to park at Jordan East or Stadium West.
- Hourly visitor parking at East Deck will be limited.

YELLOW C (HUB DECK):
- Sections of HUB Deck parking located below the plaza level entrance will be reserved for student arrival unloading only from Monday, Aug. 15, through Sunday, Aug. 21.
- Eisenhower Deck, Jordan East and Stadium West will be available to Yellow C permit holders in the event the deck reaches capacity or if alternative parking is desired.
- Hourly visitor parking will be limited.
Campus transit options
The Centre Area Transportation Authority's full-service schedule, including the return of White Loop service, will begin Monday, Aug. 15. Visit catabus.com for more information.
The Campus Shuttle via College Avenue will operate on its normal schedule (7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday).
As a result of the southbound-only traffic restriction on Burrowes Road between Curtin Road and Pollock Road, northbound CATA and Campus Shuttle stops located along Burrowes Road between College Avenue and Curtin Road will not be serviced from Wednesday, Aug. 17, through Saturday, Aug. 20. This will impact northbound stops at Reber Building, Deike Building, Hosler Building, Waring Commons and Rec Hall.
