Parking deck roof level closures to again impact parking on Wednesday, Jan. 23

With icy conditions remaining and freezing rain predicted for Wednesday, the roof levels of the East, Eisenhower and Nittany decks remain closed until further notice.

Under no circumstance should drivers move cones or barricades to enter these areas, as they are closed for the safety of all drivers. Unauthorized use of the roof level of these areas while closed is subjecting to ticketing by parking enforcement. Transportation Services will share an update when these areas are again available for use.

Because of the roof level closures, the following parking changes will again be in place between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday:

- Each of the four campus parking decks (East, Eisenhower, HUB, and Nittany) will be reserved for assigned permit holders only, with no hourly parking available.

- Faculty and staff with permits from other campus parking areas should remain parked in their assigned areas and use the no-fare Campus Shuttle or CATA Loop/Link system to travel around campus.

- Visitors to campus should be directed to utilize pay station parking at Jordan East, Stadium West and Porter North and to use the no-fare Campus Shuttle or CATA Loop/Link system to travel around campus.

- No pay station parking will be permitted at Red A.

Real-time Campus Shuttle and CATABUS locations can be found by downloading the TransLoc Rider mobile app or by visiting psu.transloc.com.

ADA parking for visitors, as well as faculty, staff and students with core-of-campus permit access, will remain available at each of the decks on Wednesday. Department floater permits will also be honored at each of the decks, if space is available.

If any of the decks reach capacity on Wednesday, overflow parking for Yellow C, Yellow D, Yellow F, and Green B permit holders will be at Orange and Commuter parking areas. The Orange lots located most closely to the core of campus are Orange C (Greenberg), Orange F (East Area Lockers/Holuba Hall), Orange B (Softball Park), and Orange A (Katz Building). If additional overflow parking areas are needed, they will be communicated directly to permit holders via email.

Transportation Services apologies for any inconvenience caused by these changes and will continue to work with the Office of Physical Plant to open the roof level areas at these locations as quickly as conditions will allow. If there are any questions, please email parking@psu.edu or call 865-1436.
