UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State faculty and staff members who serve or have served in the U.S. armed forces are invited to submit a profile of service for an opportunity to be featured online and in the community.

The profiles are a part of the University’s 11th annual Military Appreciation Week, which begins on Nov. 4, culminating in a tailgate celebration and military appreciation football game against the University of Maryland on Nov. 12.

The profiles may be published on the University’s Military Appreciation website and featured on banners in downtown State College during the month of November. Faculty and staff members are encouraged to share their own stories of service. Family members and others are also encouraged to submit a profile on behalf of any Penn Stater who currently serves or has served.

To submit a profile and to read current profiles of service, visit Penn State’s Military Appreciation website.

Military appreciation at Penn State

Penn State has a longstanding and proud tradition of serving the men and women of our military through education benefits, resources, support and more. This year, Penn State faculty and staff members who serve or have served will be honored during a series of campus events, including the military appreciation football game on Nov. 12. Through Penn State’s Seats for Servicemembers program, supporters can provide an opportunity for a service member to attend the Nov. 12 game by purchasing a ticket to be donated. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online or by calling 1-800-NITTANY.
