SCRANTON, Pa. — The Penn State Worthington Scranton Alumni Society is one of nine Penn State organizations hosting Penn State Day at Knoebel’s Amusement Resort on May 19.
Registration will begin at 10 a.m. at Pavilion M. A program will begin at 11 a.m. and include lunch, a performance by the Alumni Blue Band, an appearance by the Nittany Lion and prize raffles.
The deadline for reservations is April 30.
Several ticket options are available and people must be registered to attend. Attendees five years and older can buy a ticket for $22, which includes lunch and a $10 food/ride ticket booklet. The cost for children 4 and younger is $12 and will include lunch and a $10 food/ride ticket.
A lunch-only ticket is $12. The live entertainment and prize raffles are included with all ticket prices.
Penn State Day T-shirts can be ordered in advance for $10 each.
Organizations sponsoring the event include Penn State Hazleton, Schuylkill, Wilkes-Barre, and Worthington Scranton Alumni societies and the Greater Binghamton, Greater Hazleton, Greater Scranton, Greater Susquehanna Valley and Schuylkill chapters of the Penn State Alumni Association.
This year there will be a collection for the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center of gift cards, new blankets and new clothing items (including sweatpants and sweatshirts in assorted sizes). People should bring the donations to Knoebels.
