MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Penn State Harrisburg is inviting the campus community to travel the world during “World Fest,” a daylong event that kicks off at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, in Vartan Plaza. The event will encourage global interaction and celebrate the vitality of Penn State Harrisburg's diverse campus community.

"World Fest gives students, faculty and staff the opportunity to explore the diversity that Penn State Harrisburg has to offer,” said Degi Enkhbat, global ambassador and senior finance major. “It is a wonderful way to learn more, think globally, and expand horizons, which happens to be the motto of the Global Ambassadors Program."

The first 300 participants will receive a “passport” to visit various campus offices decorated to represent a different country. The participants must have their passport stamped and a selection of questions answered by 1 p.m.

The evening activities, beginning at 5 p.m., will include a parade representing 50 countries, international cuisine, and traditional international performances.
