UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Housing and Food Services will receive a Bronze Award at the 2023 National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) National Conference, to be held July 19-22 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Penn State was honored in the Residential Dining Catering-Special Event category, recognizing event submissions executed with “notable touches and an original feel.”

Penn State’s submission was for the Chef Series, a series of catered events this past fall that offered student guests multi-course interactive dining experiences.

The dining awards celebrate exemplary menus, presentations, special event planning, and new dining concepts while providing an avenue for sharing ideas and creative presentations in collegiate dining.

“We are very honored to receive this award,” said Jamie Robinson, Penn State senior assistant director of residential dining. “Earning this type of national recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff to provide an excellent dining experience to students, faculty and staff.”
