UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Thespians will present “Legally Blonde: The Musical,” the story of Elle Woods and her journey through Harvard Law School, this week on the Schwab Auditorium stage.
"Legally Blonde: the Musical" follows the journey of Elle, an up-beat Delta Nu sorority girl. When her boyfriend dumps her because she's not "serious," Elle leaves her glamorous life behind to attend Harvard Law and win back her man. With the help of her new friends and foes, Elle realizes her true potential and sets out to prove herself to the world, rather than chasing after a man. Throughout her journey, Elle tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.
The production is set for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 to 24 with a 1:30 p.m. matinee scheduled for Oct. 24. Tickets are $4.98 for students, $4.99 for children under 12, and $12 for community members. Tickets can be reserved (not purchased) online. Ticket reservation closes the midnight before the show. The reserved tickets will be available at will call the night of the show. Tickets can also be purchased in the HUB during the week of the show Oct. 19 to Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or at the door before any performance.
On Thursday, Oct. 22, “Legally Blonde” will be taking over the bottom floor of the HUB-Robinson Center with performances throughout the day. For more information, visit psuthespians.com.
